Teaching with Wikis?

Wikis (Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia, is the most popular example) allow individuals to collaborate and post over the Internet. Instructors can use wikis in their curriculum as open source, peer review opportunities for postsecondary students. A recent paper published in the International Journal of Instructional Technology & Distance Learning identifies and explains how to use wikis as a teaching tool. To read the article, just click on this link: http://www.itdl.org/Journal/Jan_07/article02.htm

What do you think about Wikis? Is this an instructional technique you would like to try? We're here to help you incorporate it into your curriculum. We would love to have your comments about this or any of our blog postings!
